Maximum tapped flow rate
The following diagram shows the maximum tapped flow rate depending on the tank
temperature with a pre-set hot water temperature of 45 °C at the tap point.
The integrated closed-loop control prevents the temperature from dropping as long
as the maximum flow rate is not exceeded.

Hot water temperature: 45 °C
Buffer tank temperature
Boundary conditions:
Cold water temperature: 10 °C
Max. pressure loss on the domestic water side of the WHI freshaqua: 1000 mbars
The correlation between the individual variables hot water temperature, tapped flow rate
and buffer tank temperature is explained and shown on the basis of the following exam-
ples, such as which effect they have on the transmission power of the WHI freshaqua.
Example 1
Hot water temperature at the tapping point: 45 °C
Temperature in the buffer tank: 60 °C
WHI freshaqua 44:
maximum tapped flow rate: 50 l/min, transmission power: 121 kW
WHI freshaqua 55:
maximum tapped flow rate: 77 l/min, transmission power: 187 kW
Example 2
Hot water temperature at the tapping point: 45 °C
Maximum tapped flow rate: 60 l/min
WHI freshaqua 44:
required temperature in the buffer tank: ~70 °C, transmission power: 145 kW
WHI freshaqua 55:
required temperature in the buffer tank: ~60 °C, transmission power: 145 kW
