Deadband(DBControl)adjustment
The deadband control adjusts the point at which a tripped alarm resets.
This point will be above the setpoint for a low type alarm or below for a
high type. The procedure for adjusting the DB control is as follows:
1. Adjust the SET control
. Set the deadband to maximum by turning the DB control fully
clockwise.
. Trigger the alarm by setting the input signal to ‘full scale’ (for a high
type alarm) or ‘zero’ (for a low type alarm).
4. Set the value of box 1 to the level at which the alarm should reset.
. Decrease the deadband (turn control anticlockwise) until the LED
extinguishes.
6. Check that the setpoint and deadband are set correctly.
Internalsettings(Alarmtypeandcoilenergisation)
To change the alarm type or coil energisation:
1. Remove the left hand side plate.
. Set the links according to the diagram (right).
. Replace the side plate.
Inputbalancingcontrol(factoryadjustment)
An adjustment is provided to allow for minor component differences
at assembly time. Although this control is
unlikely to need adjusting, the procedure is
as follows:
1. Remove the electronics from the housing.
. Connect up the alarm according to the
table above.
. Set both decade boxes to the minimum
value of R. Adjust VR1 until the voltages
across both decade boxes are equal.
This completes the adjustment.
