Before using the voltage tester in locations
with a high level of noise, determine whether
the acoustic signal can actually be heard.

VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro:
N
eodymium magnets
are built into the handles of the device. Peo-
ple with pacemakers should maintain an ade-
quate safety distance from the device. All
devices and objects that can be damaged by
magnetism must maintain a safety distance
(e.g. monitors, credit cards, hearing aids and
speakers).
–
Check the device before and after each use
to make sure that it works flawlessly (e.g., at
a known voltage source).
–
The device may only be opened and repaired
by an authorized service technician.
–
The voltage tester complies with EMC direc-
tive 2014/30/EU. Nevertheless, there may be
very rare occasions in which the electrical
devices are disrupted by the voltage tester or
the voltage tester is disrupted by other electri-
cal devices.
Information on internal impedance
–
A voltage tester with relatively low internal
impedance will not display all of the interfer-
ence voltages with an original value above
ELV compared to the 100 kΩ reference value.
Upon contact with the equipment to be
tested, the voltage tester can temporarily
reduce the interference voltages by discharg-
ing to a level below ELV. Once the voltage
tester has been taken away and is no longer
touching the equipment, the interfering volt-
age will resume its original value.
–
A voltage tester with relatively high internal
impedance will in comparison with the 100 kΩ
reference value not display „Operating volt-
age not present“ clearly if an interference
voltage exists.
–
If the „Voltage present“ indicator appears on a
part that appears as though disconnected
from the equipment, additional measures are
recommended urgently (e.g. the use of a suit-
able voltage tester, visual inspection of the
disconnection point in the electrical network,
etc.) in order to verify the „Operating voltage
not present“ status of the part in the system
being tested and to determine that the volt-
age indicated by the voltage tester is an inter-
ference voltage.
–
A voltage tester that shows two values for the
inner impedance has passed the test for han-
dling interfering voltages, and is, (within the
technical limits) able to differentiate the oper-
ating voltage from the interference voltage
and display the voltage type directly or indi-
rectly.
2.2 Intended use
The two-pole voltage tester is intended to be
used for testing electrical factors such as voltage,
continuity, rotating field, resistance and frequency
in industrial and technical environments. The volt-
age tester is not a measuring instrument.
The device may only be used within the de-
scribed environmental conditions and application
limits (see Technical Data). The device is only
intended to be used for the described functions.
Any other use is prohibited and can lead to acci-
dents or the destruction of the device. Such use
will result in the immediate exclusion of any war-
ranty or guarantee claims.
The intended use also includes observing the
operating instructions.
