HDD Replacement
NVS04S supports Hot Swap function so, user can get rid of HDD and mount without power off.
A.
Like picture, press rack removal button(

) of HDD to exchange and pull out the grip(

and remove the rack.
B.
Mount new HDD in Rack and pull in the rack into rack mount using the grip.
C.
Configuration Tool - Access to Stroage and select mounted HDD and set "Add" in
"Action" and do "Apply".
D.
When all configuration are done and be out, if recording is normal, front LED of HDD will
blink. in HDD not recording, front LED is off.
<ote>
1. To use used HDD in NVS04S, please delete its HDD partition.
The way to delete partition based on Window XP, Go Control Panel-> Management Tool
->Computer Management->Storage-> Disk Management, and delete the partition.
2. When HDD disk should be exchanged, Previous disk list and Added disk list are shown at the same
time.
Please delete the Previous disk list with ‘Confirm Remove’ menu.
3. If user exchange the current working disk which is light on with Red/Green LED by turns, the disk
can be damaged physically.
In this case, exchange it after power-off.
