Connection to a plotter
If you want to operate the easyTRX2 Transceiver with a chart plotter
please connect the devices with your plotter.
Based on the cable assignment (under position 1 and 2 in the spreadsheet)
the green and white cable of the 6-pole cable are necessary.
Please connect the cable to the plotter ground, the white cable
„contains“ the AIS data. This white cable has to be connected to the
NMEA data
input
of the chart plotter. If the plotter interface is configured
to 38400 baud and the plotter is ready for AIS data, received data will be
shown immediately.
21.4
External switches
It is possible to connect external switches to all easyTRX2 devices.
Moreover you have the opportunity to connect an external siren for the
integrated CPA alert.
21.4.1
SRM button
According to the cable assignment under 3.9.1(Pos. 7 and Pos. 8 in the
spreadsheet), the green and white cable of the 4-pole cable are destined
for this functionality. If you connect these cables with a button (not a
SWITCH) of your e.g. switchboard and short-circuit the cables with the
button, i.e. connect them a SRM (Safety related message) is sent by the
device.
