Prior to any maintenance or ser v ice of the air
handler, sh u t off, locko u t and tago u t the electrical
disconnect and gas v al v e that s u pplies the u nit in
accordance w ith OSHA reg u lations and allo w ample
time for the air handler to cool. After maintenance is
performed or air handler is ser
v iced, the air handler
shall be re-commissioned to the start- u p proced u re
as o u tlined on Page 61, Section 20 .
Installation Code and Annual Inspections:
All installation and ser v ice of WEATHER-RITE
™
eq u ipment m u st be performed by a contractor
q u alified in the installation and ser v ice of eq u ipment
sold and s u pplied by Weather-Rite LLC and conform
to all req u irements set forth in the WEATHER-RITE ™
man u als and all applicable go v ernmental a u thorities
pertaining to the installation, ser v ice and operation
and labeling of the eq u ipment.
To help facilitate optim u m performance and safety,
Weather-Rite LLC recommends that a q u alified
contractor cond u ct, at a minim u m, ann u al
inspections of yo u r WEATHER-RITE ™ eq u ipment
and perform ser v ice w here necessary, u sing only
replacement parts sold and s u pplied by Weather-Rite
LLC.

First 8 Hours of Operation Check belts and adj u st as req u ired ( See Page 63, Section 20.2.2 ). Tho u gh
belts w ere properly adj u sted at the factory, they w ill stretch after the first fe w
ho u rs of operation.
First 100 Hours of
Operation
Re-check belt tension and adj u st if necessary.
Annual Fall Start-Up Follo w entire start- u p proced u re at this time and check control settings and
operation. See Page 61, Section 20 .
Cabinet Exterior
After installation, to u ch u p scratches. Periodic painting sho u ld be done there-
after as req u ired. The ca u lk aro u nd w eather enclos u res and o v er field joints
sho u ld be inspected ann u ally. Re-apply ca u lk as needed to maintain integrity.
Warning labels and logo labels sho u ld be legible and acc u rate. Please con-
tact Weather-Rite LLC or WEATHER-RITE ™ independent distrib u tor if yo u
need replacement w arning labels or logo labels.
Unit Location Verify that no flammable objects, liq u ids or v apors are present near the air
handler.
Do not hang anything from or place anything on the air handler.
Keep the area u nder and aro u nd the air handler free of all objects.
See Page 5, Section 3 for Clearances to Comb u stibles.
Blower Wheel Inspect blo w er w heel and clean as necessary. A small b u ild u p of d u st can
ca u se a significant decrease in blo w er performance. Check for excessi v e
v ibration, repair as req u ired. Critical labels are located on or near the blo w er
ho u sing. Contact Weather-Rite LLC or WEATHER-RITE ™ independent dis-
trib u tor if yo u need replacement labels.
