 5:

Screw pipe tee onto pipe nipple.
Hand tighten.
All connections will be fully tightened 
in steps 7 & 8.

 6:

Remove protective cover from tank’s outlet/
inlet, then screw hose-barb elbow onto 
tank.
Hand tighten.
All connections will be fully tightened in 
steps 7 & 8.

 7:

With a pipe wrench, tighten pipe tee  
1 to 1-1/2 turns, aligning hose-barb with 
pump as shown. (Make sure pipe tee and 
nipple are tight to prevent leakage.)

 8:

Tighten hose-barb 1 to 1-1/2 turns. Make 
sure the hose-barb points toward the top of 
the tank when tight.

Do NOT overtighten hose-barb elbow. 

Some hose-barb elbows are made of 

plastic, and overtightening may cause 

damage.
