Trouble Connections
Up to six pairs of wire can be connected to the AMB to monitor the HPSA’s trouble state.
Refer to Figure 5.5 thru Figure 5.11 when installing the HPSA Trouble connections.
The placement of the jumpers/shorting bars, shown in Figure 5.8, will determine whether
the External System monitors an open or short; the connections of the Trouble output
wires and the placement of EOLR(s) will determine if the AMB is providing all the
individual Trouble states or if it is providing a single (consolidated) Trouble. Refer to
Appendix A for additional Contact Closure and NAC wiring applications.
For reporting each individual Trouble, an appropriate EOLR must be placed
in accordance with the requirements of the External Source based on
whether the input to the Source is Normally Open or Normally Closed.
The configuration shown in Figure 5.10 and Figure 5.11 will result in each
individual HPSA Trouble being reported to the External Source.
