HOW DOES THE HPSA-7100-R WORK?
The HPSA-7100-R Series can be integrated and controlled by either Cooper Notification’s
SAFEPATH
®
4 (SP40S) Voice Evacuation Systems, SAFEPATH Mass Notification
Systems (SPMNS), or other external audio system.
The NAC input of the HPSA-7100-R is designed to activate and deactivate audio at the
HPSA by applying a DC Voltage in the appropriate polarity.
The HPSA-7100-R supports 1 V
RMS
and 25 V
RMS
audio input
along with
70.7V
RMS
or100 V
RMS
if the
optional HPSA-7100-V-KIT is installed
.
The HPSA is powered by a universal 100 - 240 VAC source and converts the AC to 36
VDC, 12.6 A, which is then fed to the Power Distribution Board (PDB) for additional
conversion and distribution. In the event of AC power loss to the HPSA, the PDB receives
+48VDC from the batteries for distribution of back-up power to the HPSA components.
