4. There should be 0.5mm between the bottom face of the Bolster/Anvil and
the Stop. Use the 0.5mm Feeler Gauge (952-421) to set this gap (see Fig-
ure 4:23).
5. The Stop is adjusted with an M5 screw at either end of the Stop Assembly
Remember to loosen the M5 screw locking nut and the two locking screws
(see Figure 4:24) before making any adjustments. Adjust the Stop so that
it is 0.5mm below the Clamp/Bolster at both ends. Double-check the gap
is even for the entire length of the Stop.
6. Operate the Stop by hand, to make sure it does not stick when it is moved.
If the Stop does stick, tighten the Trantorque Bush on the Adjuster Shaft
and slowly rotate the Adjuster Shaft until the Stop is released.
7. Loosen the Trantorque Bush on the end of the Adjuster Shaft. Rotate the
Adjuster Shaft anti-clockwise and retighten the Trantorque Bush.
8. Retighten all the lockng sccrews and ensure that the M5 screw is secured
with the locking nut (use Locktite 242).
9. Refit all the components.
4.7.8 Adjusting the Stop Damping
To prevent the Stop from oscillating or bouncing when it is released, there is
a plastic thumb screw that can be adjusted to damp the motion. It is important
that the Stop does not oscillate too much, as this can allow thinner booklets to
become jammed. Two oscilations is the most desirable.
Procedure
1. Switch off the power and disconnect the mains input.
2. Remove the RH Side Cover.
