TRUCLIMATE 300 WATER-COOLED CHILLER WITH HYBREX TECHNOLOGY INSTALLATION MANUAL -

Formerly the WC Hybrex Chiller

Electrical System and Controls

General

Detailed overview of high volt panel, low volt panel and the
controls platform is provided in this section. The Hybrid
Chiller is designed with separate low and high volt panels,
allowing the technician to access the controls system while
the unit is powered, which reduces the risk of injury. The low
volt panel is limited to 24Vac and 24Vdc.

High Volt Electrical System

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Disconnect power before performing any work in
the high-volt panel. Failure to disconnect power
before servicing could result in death or serious
injury.

High Volt Panel Components

Variable Speed Drive (VSD)

CAUTION:

The Variable Speed Drive link capacitors

remain charged after power has been disconnected.
To avoid an electrical shock hazard, wait at least
as follows before doing service on the frequency
converter:

-CDS 302: 11-22 kW 15 minutes

-CDS 303: High voltage can be present on the DC

link even when the LEDs are turned off.

The VSD controls the variable speed compressor speed
from 1500rpm to 6000rpm. The Aurora HydroLink2 controls
system communicates with the VSD using Modbus com-
munication protocol. Drive faults are communicated and
stored in the Aurora HydroLink2 controls system and can
be accessed through the BAS or primary unit controller and
interface.

Unit Power Blocks

(optional Fused and Non-Fused disconnect)

The power block and non-fused disconnect options provide
short circuit current ratting (SCCR) of 5kA. Fused discon-
nect option provide SCCR of 100kA (only for installations
with individual power runs, not for single point panel appli-
cation). Both, fused and non-fused disconnect options are
supplied with disconnect handle.

Compressor Fuses

Finger-safe UL Class CF fuses.

Unit Fuses

(Fused Disconnect Only)

UL Class J fuses.

Phase Guard Monitor

The Phase Guard Monitor monitors for phase loss, phase
reversal, phase imbalance and under/over voltage. All phase
guard settings are factory pre-set. Altering those setting
can lead to shortening the lifespan of the compressor.

Compressor Contactors

Compressor contactors are provided on each fi xed speed
compressor and are controlled by   the Aurora HydroLink2
controls system.

Optional Interface (Primary Chiller Only)

This option is available  only on the primary unit.
Quick Disconnect Low – to – High volt harness
This harness is designed with quick disconnect 28pin har-
ness aiding in the fast disassembly and removal of the high
volt panel during servicing.

Transformers

Class 2 Transformers 75kVA each.

Cooling Fans

Each Chiller is equipped with two cooling fans providing
total of 82CFM.
