Installation

Attach the Extended Angle Pivot Plates to each side of the Step Assembly
using the hardware provided in the holes it was shipped in; top four (4)
holes in the Runners.  The screw heads should be on the outside and the
washers and nylon locking nuts should be on the inside of the assembly.
Tighten securely.  Attach the Pivot Mounts to the Angle Pivot Plates using
the

Slic Pins™ and

washers.  The Pivot Mounts can be mounted on the

inside or the outside of the plates.  The pins should be inserted through the
side plates first, then the pivot mounts, and finally the washers.  Make sure
the pins are inserted all the way so that the plunger on the Slic Pin is raised
and restraining the washer.  To remove the assembly, depress the pin
plungers and remove the pins and washers from the pivot mounts.

Determine the desired mounting location.  Position the assembly so that the 90-degree corner of the Extended
Angle Pivot Plates is close to the inside pool edge.  (Contact is not required.)

At

least 8” of the

Extended Angle

Pivot Plates should be resting on a load bearing surface.

(If the load bearing surface (deck) sits below the pool lip,

the area under the Extended Angle Pivot Plates and Pivot Mounts can be built up.)  Mark the location of the four (4)
mounting holes in the Pivot Mounts on the mounting surface.  Mounting options include 5/16" through bolts, lag
screws or concrete anchors.  This hardware is not provided because the mounting surface substrate varies by
customer (e.g., concrete, masonry, wood, plastic lumber, etc.). Ensure the step assembly is not twisted and is at
approximately a 45-degree angle (steps level).  Test the assembly for stability before allowing your dog to use.  It is
recommended that someone be in the water adjacent to the assembly during the first few times the dog uses them.

Never let your dog swim unsupervised.

A two-step extension kit is available, if necessary.
