Pull the thread through the needle eye

threader from the front toward the back of the machine.
You can raise the needle ( R ) by turning the handwheel (K)
clockwise.
10. Pull approximately 9.84 inches of thread through the
needle (R) and lay it on the deck under the presser foot (F).
