6.3.2 Elements of the User Interface
6.3.2.1 Information Field
The information field contains the digital depth display of the Navigation Echo Sounder
ELAC LAZ 5200 , as well as information on the transducer and the measuring parameters
for the depth measurement.
The appearance of the information field depends on the number of active channels. If
only one channel is active, the whole width is used to display the information on this chan-
nel (Fig.
 6.13). If two channels are active (optional), the information field is split and
the information on the two channels is displayed alongside one another (Fig.

6.14).

On systems with two channels, the active channels can be selected in the menu under
MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > Active Channel (

6.5.5.5 "Selecting the Active
Channels").
On systems with only one channel, the corresponding menu item is not displayed.
