MULTI-MOUNT HARDWARE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

REAR-RECEIVER INSTALLATION:

1.

Pre-assemble the rear mounting bracket, using the six 5/16” bolts, lock washers and
nuts, as shown in the Figure 1 below (with hex-head on top), with the left and right rear
side brackets on the rear receiver plate.  Leave the 5/16” fasteners loose for now.

2.

Using a 13mm wrench, or socket and appropriate drive, loosen and remove the two bolts
that are used to attach the muffler to the frame.  During the rest of the installation of the
rear-mounting bracket, swing the muffler out of the way as necessary.  Be careful not to
damage the exhaust pipe, by forcing the muffler too far away from the frame.  Move the
muffler just enough to facilitate the installation.

3.

Now , install the Rear-Receiver Bracket assembly onto the rear frame tubes and install
the four 5/16”-18 x 1” U-bolts, lock-washers and nuts that are included in the kit, as
shown in the Figure 2 below.  Note the location of the “Tab” on the side brackets with
respect with the frame (this tab is fits behind a part of the frame and helps to properly
locate the rear bracket assembly).  Make sure to properly locate the rear bracket
assembly  (with the U-bolts still loose) by pulling up on the kit as far as it will go on the
frame.  Then while holding it in place in that location, tighten the 5/16”nuts to an
approximate torque of 21 ft-lbs.   Then, tighten the remaining 5/16” nuts to an
approximate torque of 21 ft-lbs.
