1.

Attach winch mounting Plate to the ATV using the four 8mm hex bolts lock
washers and hex nuts.  It may be helpful to remove the front skid pan. The
mounting plate will be sitting flat in the ATV frame.  There are four brackets
welded to the frame of the ATV, the mounting plate will sit on these four
brackets.  The four holes in each corner of the mounting plate should line up
with the holes in each bracket.

NOTE:  There is an alternate two hole winch mount configuration (not

shown on figure below) on mounting plate.  When mounting a
winch using these holes use hardware and fairlead plate
provided with alternate winch.

Place the “L” shaped black bracket with the cast hawse fairlead attached on
to the mounting plate.  This fairlead bracket came with the winch. If a roller
fairlead was purchased, the cast hawse fairlead must be removed and
replaced with the roller fairlead using the hardware provided, two 3/8 hex
head cap screws, lock washers, and jam nuts.

3.

Place winch onto the mounting plate on top of the fairlead bracket. Attach
with the four 5/16 hex head cap screws and lock washers.  Run the hex cap
screws up through the mounting plate, through the fairlead bracket and into
the winch.

4.

Tighten all fasteners securely at this time.
