USING YOUR APPLIANCE

Installing the gas bottle:

1.  Put the cylinder into the gas heater then

install the protection baffle to make sure
the cylinder is not displaced when it is
moved from room to room.

2.  Connect the pipe to the gas valve with the

cap (make sure there is no leakage)

3.  Connect another side of the pipe to the

regulator with the cap (make sure there is
no leakage).

4.  Before using the heater, open the gas

valve, and close it after you are finished.

Lighting the heater:

1.  Before connecting the regulator to the gas

cylinder check whether there is a rubber
washer on the regulator. The washer must
be in good condition.

2.  To open the gas cylinder and allow gas

flow turn the lever from the horizontal
(closed) position to the upright position
(open). For Irish adapters the red indicator

spot should be in the down position
(closed) when fitting, to open the flow turn
the switch so that the red indicator spot
is upright.

3.  Turn the gas control knob on the heater to

setting 1.

4.  Press the control knob down and hold in

the pressed condition.
This will allow gas to flow to the pilot and
centre burner.

5.  While holding the control knob in the

pressed position, push the piezoelectric
ignition button 2 or 3 times. Each time
you strike the piezoelectric ignition you
will hear a clicking sound as well as see a
spark on the pilot burner.

6.  Once the pilot has lit, continue holding the

gas control knob in the pressed position
for a further 10 to 15 seconds thus
activating the flame failure safety device.

7.  The pilot and centre burner should remain

alight.

8.  You may now adjust

the heater setting to
Low/Med/High as
required.

Turning off the heater:

1.  To turn off the heater, turn the control

knob to position 1, and close the gas
cylinder valve by turning the knob on the
cylinder clockwise.

2.  Ensure that the pilot flame in the centre

burner is extinguished.
