Sensor Splitter
4.3 Hardware settings on
the sensor splitter
For the bus communication to operate properly, only one sensor splitter may
query the measuring values of the connected weather stations. This sensor
splitter must be set as a MASTER using the encoding switches on the board
of the sensor splitter. By default, all encoding switches are in the OFF posi-
tion.
To activate the MASTER function, encoding switch 1 must be set to the ON
position.
The type of connected central control unit must be set on encoding switch 3.

The connected central control unit queries data directly
from the weather stations.
This switch may only be switched on at a sensor splitter.

Weather data on the bus are intercepted and stored. The
stored weather data are output on request from the con-
nected central control unit.

Encoding switches 2 and 4 must be set to OFF; otherwise, the connected weather

If no sensor splitter is set as the master, measuring values cannot be queried
by the weather stations. The weather stations therefore do not send measur-
ing values. If the central control unit set as a master is not in operation (e.g.
the power supply is switched off), weather data will not be queried either.
