Maintenance instructions
The product
must
be maintained regularly
and at least once a year.
Inspection and maintenance work is
only
to
be carried out by an appropriately qualified
specialist. We recommend you take out a
maintenance agreement with a qualified
specialist.
The WAREMA guarantee becomes invalid if
the unit is not cleaned properly at least once
a year.
DANGER
Risk of injury through irregular maintenance!
Check the external venetian blinds
regularly for signs of wear and damage,
e.g. on the motor line and lifting system.
Do
not
continue using external venetian
blinds that require repair. In this case,
move the external venetian blind to the
upper limit position and take it out of
service.
DANGER
Electric shock!
When inspecting or maintaining electrical
parts, the unit must be de-energised and
locked out.
Check the function and the limit positions of the
external venetian blinds.
Check the external venetian blinds for visible wear,
for damage to the motor line and to ensure they are
securely attached (e.g. check that screws have a firm
hold).
Check the guiding nipples, lifting system and tension
cables for visible wear or damage.
Check that the guide elements are firmly seated and
the tension cables are taut.
Check the screws of the tilt rod coupling to ensure
they are firmly seated.
Inform the operator of operating risks (e.g. ice
formation).
DANGER
Functional problems and product damage due
to incorrect operation in frosty conditions. The
external venetian blinds can freeze up below
the specified temperature (+ 3 °C).
Do not operate frozen external venetian
blinds.
Avoid using force to operate frozen
external venetian blinds. This may damage
the blinds.
In wintry temperatures, retract the external
venetian blind to the upper limit position
and take it out of service.
We
recommend
the use of an ice
monitoring system.
