5. Quick guide
NOTICE
Detailed instructions for the following activities can be found in the respective sections of
these operating instructions. When using the unit for the first time, follow the sequence of
the following steps to avoid damage to the unit.
WARNING
Please observe the safety instructions in the respective sections for all activities.
• Preparing the unit for use.
• Connect the unit to the power supply.
• Operation and handling of the unit.
6. Preparing the unit for use
Mounting on a tripod
• Attach the tripod mount (13) to a 5/8 inch spigot (16 mm spigot) connection of a tripod or
other suitable (ceiling) mount. To do this, make sure that the adjustment screw for the tilt
angle adjustment (12) is locked. Loosen the tripod fastening screw (14) and unscrew it so far
that you can insert the holder into the fastening adapter of the tripod.
• Tighten the stand fixing screw (14) again and check that the lamp is securely seated on the
luminaire stand/ceiling bracket/stand adapter.
• The tilt angle of the ring light can now be adjusted by loosening the adjustment screw
for the tilt angle adjustment (12). Please note that while the inclination adjustment of
the luminaire is loosened, the ring light must be held firmly with one hand. Tighten the
adjustment screw for the tilt angle adjustment (12) again and then check that the luminaire
is securely seated on the stand.
• If necessary, install the mini ball head (17) on one of the two hot shoe holders (1+4).
To do this, push the ball head into the hot shoe holder and lock the fastening screw of the
ball head. Check the ball head for a secure fit in the hot shoe holder.
• Attach the camera, smartphone holder using the ¼ inch screw on the top of the ball head.
Check the secure fit of the mounted equipment on the ball head.
• The angle of inclination of the ball head can be changed after loosening the adjustment
screw on the ball head. Please note that while the ball head lock is loosened, the mounted
equipment must be held firmly with one hand.
• Carry out the final fine adjustment and then tighten the locking screw of the ball head
sufficiently again
• Other devices, microphones, etc. can be attached to the free flash shoe holders.
• The LED ring light is ready for use
