Installing or Removing Bit
1. To install the bit, pull the retainer in the direction of the arrow and insert the bit into the retainer as
far as it will go. Then release the retainer to secure the bit (see Fig.1).
2. To remove the bit, pull the retainer in the direction of the arrow and pull the bit out firmly.
Note: If the bit is not inserted deep enough into the retainer, the retainer will not return to its
original position and the bit will not be secured. In this case, try-inserting the bit according to the
instructions above.
3. To start the machine, simply pull the main switch. Machine speed is increase by increasing
pressure on the main switch. Release the main switch to stop.
4. For reversing the machine, (see Fig.2) use the forward/reverse rod on the drive unit. The directions
of the rotation are also shown on the face of the bar.
5. Always check the direction of rotation before operation.
6. Use the forward/reverse rod only after the machine come to a complete stop. Changing the
direction of rotation before the machine stops may damage the machine.
7. Hold the machine firmly and place the point of driver bit in the screw head. Apply forward pressure
to the machine to the extent that the bit will not slip off the screw and turn the machine on to start
operation (see Fig.3).
• Use hex driver bit to suit your application.
• Hold the machine pointed straight at the screw. If you tighten the screw for a time longer than
it needs, the screw or the point of the driver bit may be overstressed, stripped, damaged, etc.
Before starting your job, always perform a test operation to determine the proper tightening time
for your screw. When tightening a standard screw in a steel plate, the proper tightening torque
can be obtained in an extremely short time (approx. 0.1-0.2 seconds).
• Turn the machine off as soon as the impact sound is heard.
• When tightening screw M6 or smaller, carefully adjust pressure on the main switch so that the
nut is not damaged.
• When the battery pack is discharged almost completely, voltage will drop and the tightening
torque will be reduced.
• Driver bit or socket bit: failure to use the correct size driver bit or socket bit will cause a reduction
in the tightening torque.
• For driving a bolt: Even though the torque coefficient and the class of bolt are the same, the
proper tightening torque will differ according to the diameter of the bolt.
8. The manner of holding the machine or the material of driving position to be tightened will affect the
torque. Operating the machine at low speed will cause a reduction in the tightening torque.
Tool Operation
CAUTION
Always be sure that the machine is switched off and the battery pack is removed before installing or
removing the bit.
