4.7 STORAGE
STORAGE SAFETY
1. Store unit in an area away from human activity.
2. Do not permit children to play on or around the
stored machine.
3. Lock out tag out master panel to prevent
unexpected start-up.
If the machine will not be used for a period of time,
the machine should be thoroughly inspected and
prepared for storage. Repair or replace any worn or
damaged components to prevent any unnecessary
down time when it will be used again.
Follow this procedure:
1. Wash the entire machine thoroughly using a water
hose or pressure washer to remove all dirt, mud
or residue.
2.
Lubricate all grease points. Make sure all grease
cavities have been filled with grease prior to
storage.
3.
Inspect all air hoses, fittings and lines.
Tighten any loose fittings. Replace any hose that
is badly cut, nicked or abraded or is separating
from the crimped end of the fitting.
4.
Check the oil level in the blower reservoirs. Bring
to the recommended level.
5.
Spray oil internally in airlock.
6. Touch up all nicks and scratches to prevent
rusting.
