We are pleased that you have decided to buy a Walimex pro Tripod

from WALSER.

With the purchase of this product you have acquired an extremely variab-

le, high-quality and extremely stable photo tripod. Generously dimen-

sioned tripod legs made of metal guarantee an excellent stability. The

working height is variably adjustable and gives you the necessary flexibility

for your work. The centre column is reversible, for example for macro

photography. The tripod offers quality and comfort for demanding and

advanced amateur and professional photographers for medium and heavy

camera and video equipment up to 12 kg.
We wish you much pleasure with our product.
Your team from WALSER

Leg angle adjustment

The tripod legs can be adjusted to 3 different angles. This can be used to

adjust the working height, but this also has an influence on the stability of

the tripod. To set the desired angle of the tripod legs, pull the leg angle

lock (5) downwards, hold it firmly and set the desired angle. Release the

clip and lock the tripod leg.

TIP:

Always press the tripod legs slightly inwards to easily unlock the

locking clips.

 CAUTION!

Danger of squeezing if operated improperly.

Collapsing the tripod

To collapse the tripod, push the centre column (3) in the tripod shoul-

der (4) down all the way. To do this, loosen the wing screw of the centre

column lock (6) and then retighten it. Fold the tripod legs to the centre

column. This way you can achieve the minimum packing size and the usual

transport position of the tripod.

Height adjustment of the tripod legs and centre column, setting up

the tripod

Set the desired leg angle. Loosen the tripod leg locks (7). Extend the

tripod legs to the desired length. Lock the clamps. The maximum working

height can also be changed by pulling out the centre column (9). For

this purpose loosen the wing screw (6). Set the desired height. Tighten

the wing screw again. Make sure that the tripod is standing securely and

straight. Adjust the length of the individual tripod legs by opening and

closing the leg locks until the desired alignment of the tripod is achieved.

Reverse function of the centre column

For use close to the ground (e.g. macro photography) the centre column

can be used in reverse. For this purpose unscrew the 3/8 inch thread

together with its holder (10). Then release the centre column by loosening

the wing screw (6). Remove the centre column, turn it around and put it

back into the stand from below. Screw the 3/8 inch head screw back on.

The tripod is now prepared for the so-called „reverse“ use of the centre

column.

Use of the rubber feet and metal spikes

The tripod features multifunctional tripod feet. For use on straight, solid

ground or in the studio we recommend the use of the rubber feet. Screw

the rubber buffers on the tripod feet down to the end of the threaded rod.

When reaching the end position you will feel a significant resistance. The

spikes are now covered and the rubber feet are ready for use. To use the

spike function, twist the rubber buffers upwards until the end of the spike

is visible. If the rubber buffers are so tight that they cannot be twisted, pull

out the lowest tripod leg segment slightly and hold it with one hand. Now

the rubber buffer can be turned up until the spike is visible.
It is usually not necessary to remove the rubber buffer when using the

spikes. If necessary, however, you can simply pull them off the plastic balls.

For the use of the rubber buffers and spikes, please observe the instruc-

tions in the chapter Instructions for use!

Use and mounting of tripod heads

The tripod is as standard delivered without a tripod head. This gives you

the choice of using a ball head or a video head, for example, or mounting

your camera directly on the tripod. You can find high-quality and matching

tripod heads in many variations in our webshop at www.foto-walser.de. For

a professional fastening and the optimal fit of tripod heads we recom

-

mend the use of the set screws (grub screws) integrated in the mounting

plate (1). First of all, countersink the grub screws so that they do not

protrude over the mounting plate. Mount the tripod head. Observe the

relevant instructions in the manual for the tripod head. Then tighten the

grub screws, which are accessible from below, with the Allen key included

in the scope of delivery. This ensures that the tripod head is held firmly

and non-twisting on the mounting plate. Finally, check that the tripod

head is firmly fixed.

 NOTICE!

Please make sure that the set screws integrated in the mounting plate

are not overtightened. Due to their design, these threaded pins cannot

transmit much force. Furthermore, a too deep „screwing in“ of the set

screws can damage the surface of the tripod head.

Instructions for use and care of the tripod and ball head

Please observe the instructions regarding the maximum load capacity

of your tripod model. Please note that the indicated values apply to

equipment placed centrally on the tripod/tripod head. Depending on the

equipment used (and the leverage that occurs) or even with larger angle

settings (from approx. 45°) on your tripod head, the maximum loads can

deviate from the specified maximum value. Furthermore, the specified

maximum values are also not valid when using the maximum centre

column extension. A maximum extension of the centre column generally

leads to a reduced load capacity and stability of a photo tripod.
The rubber buffers on the tripod feet can remain on the threaded rod (with

the spike ends) in almost all situations. If you feel a clear resistance as well

as a locking effect when unscrewing the rubber elements on the tripod

feet and the buffers cannot be unscrewed any further, the final position of

the rubber feet has been reached.
When using the spikes, please note that they can damage scratch-sensi-

tive surfaces such as marble, tiles, wood, parquet, laminate or PVC floors.

Use the rubber buffers of the tripod legs for these surfaces. When using

the spikes, please also note that they do not guarantee sufficient stability

on smooth surfaces. Use the rubber buffers of the tripod legs for these

surfaces.
Clean the threads of the spikes if they are very dirty or if the rubber feet

are difficult to move. For cleaning, we recommend the use of a brush un

-

der running water. The use of lubricants for the threaded rod of the spikes

is usually not necessary and also not recommended, as this can impair the

locking function of the rubber feet in the final position.

In general, all elements of this tripod are maintenance-free. However,

regular removal of sand, dust and other impurities is recommended. If you

notice a scratching or crunching noise at the legs of the tripod, please

remove the dirt with a soft, damp cloth. If this does not improve the situ-
