QUICK TIPS
The foil is for super close cutting and designed to cut hair
that is 1/32” or shorter.
The foil needs to glide over the skin. Do not press hard
against the skin but allow the shaver to work for you.
Pressing against the skin too hard can cause damage to
the foil.
It is important to use the shaver with a foil and cutter bar
assembly that is clean and free of hair and other debris
that might affect performance.
The foil and cutter bar assembly are wear out parts.
Replacement may vary depending on usage. The foil is
micro-thin with precise, raised inner cutting edges
around the holes. These raised cutting edges will wear
with use which will be indicated if your shaver slows
down and the foil seems to get warm.
To ensure continued shaving satisfaction, you should
replace the foils often and cutter bar assembly
periodically.
Replace cutter bar assembly if damaged. Damage to the foil will
result from using a broken or bent cutter bar assembly.

DO NOT DIP OR SOAK the shaver or foils in any type of
cleaning solution, disinfectant or oil.
To disinfect foils, spray
disinfectant directly onto foils and wipe off excess liquid to prevent
damage to the foil housing. Excess liquid can deteriorate the unit’s
plastic components and seep into the motor compartment affecting
motor life and performance.
UNIT CARE
Use a clean cloth (dry or dampened with water).
DO NOT USE bleach, benzene or thinner to clean the unit.
CORD CARE
The cord should never be used to pull the shaver. Freedom of
movement needs to be maintained. Care should be used to keep the
cord untwisted, and undamaged. When stored, the cord should be
coiled and placed neatly in a dry place.
NI-CAD BATTERY REPLACEMENT, SHAVER
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
CONTAINS SEALED, RECHARGEABLE NICKEL-CADMIUM
BATTERY. MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF
PROPERLY.
The RBRC Battery Recycling Seal on the nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery
contained in this product indicates Wahl is voluntarily participating in
an industry program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of
their useful life, when taken out of service in the United States or
Canada. The RBRC program provides a convenient alternative to
placing used Ni-Cd batteries into the trash or the municipal waste
stream, which is illegal in some areas. Please call
1-800-8-BATTERY
for information on Ni-Cd battery recycling in your area. Wahl’s
involvement in this program is part of our commitment to preserving
our environment and conserving our natural resources.
The battery must be removed from the unit before it is scrapped. The
unit must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing
the battery. The battery is to be disposed of safely.
will automatically charge the
shaver when left in the OFF
position.
RECHARGING OPTIONS
• For units without a recharge
stand
, attach power cord plug
into shaver first, then to outlet.
Be sure shaver is switched OFF
when charging.
(Figure 1)
• For units with a recharge
stand
, place shaver in recharge
stand so nameplate faces
forward. Attach power cord
plug into recharge stand first,
then to outlet.
(Figure 2) Not all
units have a recharge stand.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Before the equipment is used for the first time, it should be charged fully.
For recharging information, refer to Shaver Use Recharging Options.
Recommendation: The batteries should only be recharged when
the performance of the equipment has deteriorated noticeably.
BATTERY OPERATION
Switch ON the unit using the ON/OFF switch and, after use, switch it
OFF again. When the battery is fully charged, the unit can be used for
up to
60 minutes
of continuous run.
LED INDICATOR
• Solid:
LED will be fully lit when battery has reached full charge.
• Pulse:
While charging, LED will pulse until battery is fully charged.
The LED will change to solid when the battery has a full charge.
SHAVER CARE
CLEANING THE FLEX FOIL HEAD AND
CUTTER BAR ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the flex foil head from the top
of the unit by pressing the round
button located on the right side of the
unit. Next, lift the flex foil head off of
the unit. The flex foil head may be
cleaned of loose material, by gently
tapping the housing against the surface
of your sink.
The foil is micro-thin
with precise, raised inner cutting
edges, always handle with care.
2. To remove the cutter bar assembly,
gently press down on it and turn the
assembly 90 degrees.
3. Gently brush any loose hair and debris
from the cutter bar assembly with the
pre-unit brush. Run the cutter bar
assembly under warm water and dry it
off with a paper towel.
4. Return the cutter bar assembly to the
unit by reversing this process.
5. Replace the flex foil head to the top of
the unit before use.
Replace foil if creased, worn or broken. Using a damaged or broken
foil can result in facial injury.
REPLACEMENT SUPER CLOSE GOLD FOIL
WAHL MODEL NO. 7031-200
Always replace the Foil Guard to protect the delicate dual
foil heads when the shaver is not in use.
If you are a first-time electric shaver user, or changing
from another brand, there will be a 2-3 week (or less)
adjustment period, while your face and beard adapt to
the new foil.
During the break-in period of the cutter bar, black residue may be
left on the face. It is a harmless combination of whiskers, skin debris
and minute particles from the cutter bar, which will wash off easily.
This condition will quickly disappear with use.
We suggest that you thoroughly cleanse and completely dry skin
prior to shaving. For those times when the beard is longer than 1/32”
begin by using a trimmer to cut the beard, then use the shaver to get
a close, clean shave.
Begin shaving at the neckline, in short, upwards strokes and then
continuing upwards until you have shaved all areas of the beard. The
shaver is designed to remove most facial hair and give a close, clean
shave that is bump and irritation free.
SHAVER USE
USING CORD/CORDLESS SHAVERS
If battery power is low, the power cord can attach directly to the unit
for continued use as a corded unit.
CORDED OPERATION
• Attach power cord plug into shaver first, then to outlet. If your battery
is completely run down, allow the unit to charge for
1 minute
(switched OFF) before using as a corded unit.
(Figure 1)
• If the cord is left attached to the shaver when not in use, the cord
1. Remove the flex foil head.
2. Remove the cutter bar assembly by gently pressing down and
turning the bar 90 degrees.
3. Remove the two spring clips on the top of the unit using a small,
flat blade screwdriver.
4. Pull back the unit housing away from the unit.
5. Cut the wire to the negative side (-) of the battery and then cut
the wire to the positive side (+) of the battery.
6. Remove the battery by prying the cement loose.
The battery is a non-consumer replaceable battery. For battery
replacement, send your unit and recharging transformer to Wahl
Clipper Corporation for service.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your cord/cordless shaver does not seem to be operating or
charging properly, please check the following:
• Check the outlet’s current by plugging another appliance (one
you know is in proper working condition) into the outlet.
• Make sure the unit is not connected to a power source that turns
itself off when lights are turned off.
• Make sure the unit and recharging transformer contacts are clean
and free of hair or other contaminants.
• Verify that the blade assembly moves freely and is mounted properly.
If you still encounter problems with your unit, send your unit and
recharging transformer to Wahl Clipper Corporation with a note
explaining the problem.
