Disturbances in the Supply Voltage
Brief voltage dips in the field power supply below permissible values (e.g., when
switching capacitive loads) also lead to passivation of the analog inputs of the F
I/O module. To prevent unintended passivations, low-impedance supply lines and
sufficient power supply units must be used. Alternatively or in addition, a
capacitor can be used to support the field supply voltage for the analog inputs.
For the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM, a capacitive buffer module (e.g., Item No. 787-880)
can be used to bridge short duration voltage drops or load fluctuations in the field
supply voltage.
