Settings via GSD
Parameterization via PROFIBUS-PFC200 (750-8206)
•
The I/O module cannot be configured in the PROFIBUS process image of
the 750-8206 controller.
•
WAGO-I/O-
CHECK
must be used to change parameters; parameters
cannot be changed using a CODESYS library.
Parameterization via PROFIBUS Fieldbus Coupler/Controller (750-333 or
750-833)
•
A GSD file can be used to change parameters.
•
WAGO-I/O-
CHECK
can also be used to change parameters; parameters
cannot be changed using a CODESYS library.
When connecting to a PROFIBUS DP/V1 fieldbus coupler (750-333) or controller
(750-833), assuming that the HART I/O module is supplied in the default
operating mode, the operating mode must be switched accordingly.
The parameters for the required operating mode can be set using the GSD files.
More information on downloading GSD files
GSD files are available on the WAGO homepage:
www.wago.com
Before parameterization, the components for the PROFIBUS system must be
configured to determine the structure of the input and output process image.
The configuration software is used to upload and install the GSD files for
PROFIBUS.
They provide the ...
•
device characteristic data
•
information on their communication capabilities
•
other information
The size of the process images is then determined by the compiled configuration
data.
More information on installing the GSD files
When installing the GSD files, please refer to the information provided in the
documentation of the configuration software which you are using.
The required operating mode for the HART I/O module can be selected and
specified right at the configuration stage.
