2.1.1.2 Description
The digital input module 750-436 receives control signals from digital field
devices (sensors, switches, etc.).
The module is a 1-conductor device and has eight input channels.
Eight 1-conductor sensors may be directly connected to signal input
DI 1, ... DI 8.
The module is negative switching. This means that the status of the input
channels is "high" if the 0V potential is at the input channels.
Each input module has an RC noise rejection filter with a time constant of
3.0 ms.
The status of the input channels is indicated via status LEDs.
An optocoupler is used for electrical isolation between the bus and the field
side.
Any configuration of the input modules is possible when designing the
fieldbus node. Grouping of module types is not necessary.
Note
The module possesses power jumper contacts to pass through supply voltage
for the field side to the following modules.
The field side supply voltage of 24 V for the input module is derived from
adjacent I/O modules or from a supply module. The supply voltage for the
field side is made automatically through the individual I/O modules by means
of power jumper contacts.
Warning
The maximum current of the internal power jumper contacts is 10 A. When
configuring the system it is important not to exceed the maximum/sum
current. However, if such a case should occur, another supply module must be
added.
The module can be used with all couplers/controllers of the
WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750.
