PRESSURE RELIEF PROCEDURE
The system pressure must be manually relieved to prevent the system from starting or spraying
accidentally.
To reduce the risk of an injury from injection, splashing fluid or moving parts, follow the
steps in this chapter whenever:
you are instructed to relieve the pressure;
spraying is stopped;
part of the system is checked or maintained;
the nozzle is installed or cleaned.
WARNING
High-pressure spray jet!
Danger to life from injecting paint or solvent.
Never reach into the spray jet.
Never point the spray gun at people.
Consult a doctor immediately in the event of skin injuries caused by paint or solvent.
Inform the doctor about the paint or solvent used.
Never seal defective high-pressure parts; instead relieve the pressure from them and
replace them immediately.
Use personal protective equipment (protective clothing, gloves, eyewear and respiratory
protection).
Pressure relief procedure for the whole system
1. Press the STOP push button.
2. Relieve the product pressure and air pressure in all pumps or pressure tanks. Use return
/ circulation, according to the instructions in the corresponding operating manuals.
3. For electrostatic spray guns: switch off electrostatics.

One after the other and in each component (A, B, flush, ...) for each product valve (A1, A2, ...):
− Select valve and open it with the large valve button.
− Point the manual gun into a grounded metal bucket. Open the gun's trigger
mechanism step by step in order to relieve the pressure. Avoid splashback.
− Close and secure gun.
5. Press the [STOP] button.
