4. Testing
Disconnect the charge lead and press the button on your CoolPower
front panel
whilst your fridge is running
.
4.1 Voltage
Your battery voltage will appear on the digital display. The precise
remaining capacity will vary depending on conditions such as ambient
temperature, but as a general guide will be as follows:

4.2 LED’s (on front panel)
A quick visual indication of the condition of your CoolPower can be
obtained at a glance. After disconnecting charging leads and pressing
the test button:

5. Charging
5.1 In-car (12V)

Plug the charge lead 2-pin screw connector into the ‘CHARGE’
socket on the left hand side of your CoolPower. Then plug the
cigarette plug on the other end of the charge lead either directly
into your vehicle cigarette socket, or (recommended) into the
WAECO RAPS12R-U fast charge kit socket pre-fitted to your
vehicle.
- When the CoolPower is accepting charge from your vehicle battery,
the green LED adjacent to the ‘CHARGE’ socket will illuminate.
5.2 240V mains

The specified maximum charging current is 12A, however a 6A or
8A charger (WAECO models MBC600 and MBC800) is recommended
as adequate for your CoolPower36.

An automatic cutout charger must be used, otherwise
irreparable damage will occur and your warranty voided
.

Disconnect your fridge and DC charging lead from the battery.
