Telephone operation
Volume control
During a call, press
VOL+
/ or /
VOL-
to adjust
the listening volume. Each press increases or
decreases the volume. When the volume level has
reached the maximum or minimum setting, the
handset deeps twice.
Mute
Use the mute feature during a telephone
conversation to silence the microphone. Thus you
hear the other party but the other party does not
hear you.
To mute a call
During a call, press
MUTE
. The screen shows
MUTED
for a few seconds and turn on the
MUTE
icon.
To resume the conversation
Press
MUTE
and resume speaking. The screen
shows
MICROPHONE ON
for a few seconds
then turn off the
MUTE
icon.
Mute cancels automatically when you end a call.
Call waiting
If you subscribe to a call waiting service with your
local telephone company, there is an alert tone if
there is an incoming call when you are already on a
call.
Press
/FLASH
to put your current call on hold
and take the new call.
Press
/FLASH
anytime to switch back and
forth between calls.
