4.9 Set the Quiet Mode
When the quiet mode is turned on, all the handsets ringer are turned off in the setting
time (1-12 hours).
To turn on the quiet mode:
In idle mode, press and hold

Use the dialing keys to enter the desired number of hours (1-12) you would like to
turn on quiet mode, then press
.
The screen will show “
Quiet mode on
”, then the icon appears.
To turn off the quiet mode:
In idle mode, press and hold
#
.
The screen will show “
Quiet mode is off
” temporarily. The icon disappears.
NOTES
If there are relevant information about the call list entry on the screen (e.g., “
neW
cALL
”), then the “
Quiet mode on
” will not display.
After quiet mode is turned off or the set period of time has expired, all muted
features will be activated again.
4.10 Set the equalizer
The telephone equalizer enables you to change the quality of the audio to best suit
your hearing.
While on a call, press
to select the equalizer setting,
treble 1
,
treble 2
,
bass
or
natural
.
The current setting shows on the screen for two seconds.
NOTES
The current equalizer setting remains unchanged if you press to switch between
the handset and handsfree.
The current equalizer setting remains unchanged until a new setting is selected.
4.11 temporary tone dialing
If you have pulse (rotary) service only, you can switch from pulse to touch-tone dialing
temporarily during a call. This is useful if you need to send touch-tone signals to access
your telephone banking or long distance services.
During a call, press
*
, then use the dialing keys to enter the desired number. The
telephone sends touch-tone signals.
The telephone returns to pulse dialing after you end the call.
