Edit a directory entry
Use the following steps to edit an entry in the directory.
Press
when the handset is not in use.
-OR-
Press
MENU/
SELECT
when the handset is not in use. Press or to
select
>Directory
and then press
MENU
/SELECT
twice.
Press or , or use the alphabetical search to browse (see page 23).
Press
MENU
/SELECT
to select an entry. The screen
shows
EDIT CONTACT
.
Press or to choose
Name
,
Number
or
Speed dial
to
edit. Press
MENU
/SELECT
to select the desired option.
If you have not assigned a speed dial for the entry and
choose to edit speed dial, follows the steps 7 and 8 on
page 21.
5. While the screen shows
EDIT NAME
, use the dialing
keys (see page 22) to edit the name. Press
MENU
/
SELECT
to save the setting.
Press
MUTE
/REMOVE
to backspace and erase a
character.
Press and hold
MUTE
/REMOVE
to erase the entire entry.
Press to move the cursor to the left or to the right.
-OR-
While the screen shows
EDIT NUMBER
, use the dialing
keys to edit the number. Press
MENU
/SELECT
to save the
setting.
Press
MUTE/REMOVE
to backspace and erase a digit.
Press and hold
MUTE/REMOVE
to erase the entire
entry.
Press to move the cursor to the left or to the right.
Press and hold
REDIAL/PAUSE
to insert a dialing
pause (a
p
appears).
-OR-
While the screen shows
ASSIGN AS
and the current speed dial location
displays, press or to choose the desired speed dial slot and press
MENU/
SELECT
to save the setting.
If the desired slot is not an empty slot, the screen shows
Replace?
Press
MENU
/SELECT
to replace the entry or press
OFF/
CLEAR
to exit
speed dial setting.
6. After the setting is saved, press
MENU
/SELECT
again to edit the other
setting. Repeat steps 4 and 6 until all the settings are correct.
