Answering system settings
Answer on/off
To set answer on/off with the telephone base:
Press
ANS
to turn the answering system on or off.
-OR-
Press
MENU
when the telephone base is not in use, then press
SELECT
to select
Answering system
.
Press or to scroll to Answer ON/OFF , then press SELECT .
Press or to scroll to
On
or
Off
, then press
SAVE
. You hear a
confirmation tone.
You cannot turn on the answering system with no memory
capacity left. If you try to turn it on, the telephone announces,
“ Memory is full. Calls will not be answered. ”
If the memory capacity is less than 3 minutes, the telephone
announces, “ Less than three minutes to record, ” and the screen
displays
Less than 3 min to record.
