11. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the
VTech
®
Manny’s Construction
Laptop
will automatically turn off after several minutes of inactivity.
The unit can be turned on again by pressing the
ON/OFF
BUTTON
.
TO BEGIN PLAY
1. To begin play, press the
ON/OFF BUTTON
.
2. You will see a short animation before being asked to choose an activity
in the selected mode. Use the
CURSOR MOUSE
to scroll through
the activities on the screen. These will scroll automatically if there is
no input. To select an activity, press the
ENTER BUTTON
when your
chosen activity is shown on the screen.
ACTIVITIES
1. Exploring
Press the buttons to hear numbers, letters, colors and shapes identified.
Press the
NUMBER BUTTONS
again to hear each number spoken
in Spanish. Press the
BILINGUAL BUTTON
to hear some useful
Spanish phrases.
2. Repair Job
We’ve got a job to do! Help Manny fix the objects that have been
broken by using the tools to either hit the nails or turn the screws
according to the instructions. Press the
BILINGUAL BUTTON
to
hear the Spanish translation of the number used in each instruction.
3. Counting
Watch carefully and count when the tools are working, then fill in
the correct number on the screen. Press the
NUMBER BUTTONS
to answer. Press the
BILINGUAL BUTTON
to hear the Spanish
translation of the number that has been counted.
