WARRANTY

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the 
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for 
a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable 
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced. 
if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount 
to a major failure.

In New Zealand our goods come with a guarantee that cannot be excluded 
under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993.

Limited Three Year Warranty 

Conair Australia Pty Ltd. will repair or replace (at our option) your styler 
free of charge for 36 months from the date of purchase if the appliance is 
defective in workmanship or materials. This warranty is an additional benefit 
and does not affect your legal rights. To obtain service under this warranty, 
please read the Warranty Leaflet included or contact Conair Customer 
Service at [email protected].

To make a warranty claim you must retain your proof of purchase. 

HOW TO USE THE LOCKING SWITCH

The locking switch is used to hold the plates together when the straightener is 
not in use for easy and convenient storage. After use, turn the appliance off and 
allow to cool. Hold the straightener handle together and slide the locking switch 
across to secure the plates. To unlock, simply slide the locking switch in the other 
direction.

SUPER IONIC CONDITIONING 

Featuring a superior ionic generator which releases super frizz-controlling ions on 
to the hair to smooth the cuticle and gives sleek, shiny, healthy looking hair.

NOTE: 

Turning on the straightener will automatically activate the ionic 

technology. Any noise generated from the ionic ports is normal.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS

The 12 variable temperature settings/digital heat control to provide variable heat 
for many different hair types. These settings allow you to choose the required 
temperature setting according to your particular need and hair type.  

 

NB: 

The heat-up time will vary depending on which temperature setting you 

select. It is suggested to use the lower heat settings when using the appliance for 
the first time.

SWITCH ACTIVATION CONTROL

This straightener features delayed activation control to give consistent results 
and ease of use whilst straightening. Immediately after switching on the 
straightener you are able to adjust the temperature and activate the ‘Protect’ 
setting. After 5 seconds of the appliance being turned on, the switches will 
automatically lock. To adjust any settings, hold down the button of the required 
setting for 1-2 seconds, this will deactivate the lock mode and allow the settings 
to be changed. To turn off the appliance whilst in lock mode, hold down the 
button     for 1-2 seconds until the unit switches off.

SENSOR PROTECT™ TECHNOLOGY

Select the protect mode for enhanced heat protection. The intelligent heat 
control technology monitors and adjusts the plate temperature to deliver salon 
straightening with care. There are two ways in which to use the straightener; 
with or without the Protect mode. 

 

•  After turning the straightener on, it will automatically set to 200°C. Select a 

suitable temperature for your hair type by pressing the + or - buttons.

•  If the protect mode is not activated the straightener will continue to operate at 

the temperature selected. 

•  To use the straightener in protect mode, first select a temperature, then press 

the ‘Protect’ button.

•   Once the protect mode has been activated the protect symbol 

 

will appear 

within the LCD screen next to the temperature.

•  The selected temperature will begin to flash registering that the protect mode 

has been activated.

•  After a few passes through the hair the Sensor Protect™ technology will 

monitor and automatically adjust the temperature according to your hair 
characteristics and will help to reduce the level of heat transfer on to the hair 
during straightening.

•  To return to normal operation, press the ‘Protect’ button to cancel the protect 

mode. The unit will return to the original temperature selected.

HEAT MAT

The straightener comes with a heat mat for use during and after styling. During 
use do not place this appliance on any heat sensitive surface, even when 
using the heat mat provided. After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. 
Immediately wrap the appliance in the heat mat provided and allow to fully cool 
down. Continue to keep it out of the reach of children as it will remain hot for 
several minutes.

AUTO SHUT OFF

This straightener has an automatic shut off feature for added safety. If the 
straightener is switched on for more than 72 minutes continuously, it will 
automatically switch off. If you wish to continue using the straightener press 
and hold the button     for 1-2 seconds to turn the straightener on.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To help keep your straightener in the best possible condition follow the steps 
below:
•  Do not wrap the lead around the appliance, instead coil the lead loosely by the 

side of the appliance.

•  Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
• Always unplug after use.
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before cleaning it.
•  To clean the appliance, use a damp cloth with a little soft detergent, then dry 

carefully. Make sure the appliance is completely dry before using again.

• To protect the plates, store the straightening iron with the plates closed tightly.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The following safety precautions should always be followed when using 

electrical appliances, especially when children are present in your household. 

Please read these instructions carefully and keep for future reference.

•  WARNING: Do not use this appliance in or near bathtubs, showers, 

basins or other vessels containing water. Keep the appliance dry.

•  When this appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use 

since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the 

appliance is switched off.

•  If this appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately - DO NOT reach 

into the water.

•  Before using, always ensure that the voltage marked on the appliance is the 

same as your local power voltage.

•  If the appliance is designed to be connected to a detachable power supply 

(otherwise known as a charger or adaptor), the appliance must only be 

used with the power supply it was sold with.

wet hands.

•  Never use this appliance at the same time as styling products such as 

aerosols (spray).

•  Be very careful when handling this appliance as parts of it may get 

extremely hot.

•  Do not place the appliance on any heat sensitive surface or near flammable 

materials or objects.

•  Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

•  Never block the air openings of the appliance or place on a soft surface 

such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the 

air openings free of lint and other debris.

•  Do not cover this appliance with anything when it is switched on or hot.

•  To avoid electric shock, do not drop or insert any object into an opening in 

this appliance.

•  Never operate this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it is 

not working correctly.

•  If this appliance is serviced by an unqualified person this could result in 

an extremely hazardous situation for the user. Contact Conair Customer 

service if you have any issues operating your styler.

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience 

and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction 

concerning use of the appliance by a person - responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

•  Use this appliance only for its intended use and as described in this manual. 

This appliance is not intended for commercial use.

•  Do not use any attachments other than those supplied by Conair Australia 

Pty Ltd.

•  For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) 

with a rated operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the 

electrical current circuit supplying the bathroom.
