Connecting Headset to Device
To use the BTH430 Headset with a Bluetooth Device (or “Host”), such as a mobile computer or industrial
tablet, you must first establish a wireless connection between the Headset and the intended Device.
This process is called “Pairing”.
Note:
In order to avoid accidently pairing the Headset to multiple Devices, Headset may only be
paired to one device at a time.
Pairing
The Headset may be paired with Bluetooth devices in the following three ways:
1.
Touch-to-Pair with devices supporting an NFC Connection.
2.
Scan-to-Pair with devices supporting Bluetooth Mac Address Scanning.
3.
Standard Bluetooth pairing where the headset is discovered by the Host.
Headset must be within close proximity of the host to complete pairing. To initiate pairing, Headset
must be powered off. If the headset is on, turn off by pressing the Multi-Function Button for 2 seconds.
Initiate headset pairing by pressing the Multi-Function Button for 12 seconds until you hear “Pairing”
and the LED alternately flashes red and blue.
1.
For Touch-to-Pair, touch Headset NFC tag, located in the microphone assembly, to NFC tag of Host.
2.
For Scan-to-Pair, activate Host scanning function and scan Headset Bluetooth Mac Address Barcode
Label.
3.
For Standard Bluetooth pairing, use the Host’s Bluetooth search and pairing functionality (refer to
the Host documentation if necessary) and select
“BTH430”
. If necessary, enter four zeros (0000) for
the passcode and accept connection.
Once successfully paired, you will hear “Pairing Successful” and the LED will flash blue, once every two
seconds indicating the Headset and Host are connected. The Headset may be paired to a new Host
using the above procedure. Note that this will undo the pairing to the current Host.
Once the Headset and Host have been paired, the Headset and Host will automatically reconnect the
next time they are both powered on and in close proximity to each other
.
