Every other use can lead to danger, therefore never use the Leaf blower for any
other purpose.
4. SAFETY
REGULATIONS
4.1 General
Read this manual carefully before using the machine. Follow all instructions exactly and mind
the following instructions at all time. Take care that anybody using the machine, knows and
applies the instructions. Children and anyone not able to work with this machine safely, is not
permitted to use the machine.
1. Stickers and markings in this manual and attached to the machine, give important
instructions for a safe use; following these indications serve your own safety! Never
remove them!
2. As a user wear close-fitting clothes/safety glasses and ear protection! Avoid loose
clothes!
3. After switching off, the machine still runs. Don’ t come near the rotating parts before the
machine has totally stopped.
4. Install accessories in accordance with regulations and install these only on the dedicated
locations; work safely.
5. Check the complete machine before every use. Only use the machine if all functions are
running well and with undamaged parts.
6. Repair damages immediately, at least before working with the machine again.
7. Never exceed the maximum allowed number of revs of the machine.
8. Ensure proper maintenance according to the instructions in this manual and to the
applicable regulations for agricultural machinery.
9. Restrict the use of the machine to the purpose for which it was designed
under ‘conditions for use’ (section 3).
10. Perform maintenance and repair-activities only on a stationary machine.
4.2 Using the PTO drive shaft
1. Observe the regulations as mentioned in the appended manual of the drive shaft.
2. Installing and removing the drive line is only allowed, if the tractor engine is shut off and the
starter key is removed.
3. Work only with a fully protected drive.
4. Ensure that the required rpm of the machine corresponds with the rpm of the tractor’s PTO
(540 or 1000 rpm).
5. Do not exceed the maximum working length. Be sure that the 2 telescopically drive shaft
halves overlap each other with a minimum of half the pipe length and that there is always
enough overlap to prevent that the drive shaft is being propelled inaccurately when making
turns. Lubricate the drive shaft regularly.
6. Never exceed the maximum allowed working angle of the drive shaft.
7. Follow the lubrication diagram. After each 8 working hours lubricating with a quality grease
is necessary.
8. Use the drive shaft with undamaged tube covers and prevent the covers of the PTO drive
shaft from rotating by attaching the chains onto their dedicated points.
9. Never use the drive shaft without the fixed protection caps on the tractor and machine
side.
10. When a drive shaft is being replaced, ensure machine power is sufficient.
