e) Password (Function "F5")
In function "F5", you can set a password (a number between 0 and 999, e.g. "123").
If you set a number between "1" and "999", you need to enter this number when you want to call the system
setup.
If you set the password to "0", you do not need to enter a password for calling the system setup; the pass-
word function is deactivated.
Calling the system setup with the password activated
• Keep the button "SET" (6) pushed for 5 seconds until the upper display line shows "PS". Release the button again.
• Briefly push the button "SET" (6); "0" will appear in the display.
• Use the buttons "
" (5) and " " (8) to enter your chosen password (e.g. "123"). Keep the respective button pressed
for quick adjustment.
• Briefly push the button "SET" (6); "F1" appears in the display and you have access to the system setup.
If you do not push any button for 10 seconds, you will leave the system setup automatically. The settings
made are saved.
If you want to call the system setup again, proceed again as described above.
Resetting the password
If you have forgotten the set password (a number between "1" and "999"), you can reset it. All other settings in the
system setup will be reset to defaults as well.
Proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the temperature controller from the mains voltage, switch off the mains supply (e.g. switch off the associ
-
ated fuse or the FI circuit breaker).
• Wait until the display has gone out completely (after a few seconds).
• Keep the two buttons "
" (5) and " " (8) pushed at the same time (do not release them) and switch on the mains
voltage again. Continue to keep both buttons pushed.
All display segments will appear briefly; then the upper line shows "YES".
After a few seconds, the display of the temperature controller will show the temperature measured via the tempera-
ture sensor and the time will appear.
• Now release the two buttons again. The password is deleted and reset to "0"; no password needs to be entered to
call the system setup (the password function is deactivated).
As described in the beginning, all other settings in the system setup are reset to factory settings; see table
in chapter 8. d). The time is preserved.
