Term
Explanation
ABS
Anti-lock brake system: the ABS is a regulating system in the brake system, that pre‐
vents locking when braking. This helps to maintain directional stability and steerability.
AUS 32
Abbreviation for „aqueous urea solution“ with an urea concentration of 32.5 %, see also
(AdBlue®)
AdBlue®
Is an invented name.
This fluid is also called „NOx reducing agent AUS 32“, „AUS 32“ or „Diesel Exhaust Fluid“
for the USA
AdBlue® is a clear aqueous urea solution which is used for exhaust treatment to reduce
nitrogen oxides emissions and particulates.
AdBlue® is a registered trademark of the VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie - ger‐
man association of the automotive industry) in the USA, Germany, the European Union
and other countries.
The AdBlue urea solution is not mixed with diesel fuel, but is carried in a separate tank
in the vehicle.
ATF
Automatic transmission fluid: gear oil for automatic gearboxes.
ATF level
Filling level of ATF in gearbox
CO
Carbon monoxide is produced when fuels containing carbon are not combusted com‐
pletely.

Vehicles are factory-fitted with active LongLife service. This means vehicles have a
flexible service interval display and are fitted with the following components:

♦ Engine oil level sensor
♦ Brake pad wear indicator
