Fuel System for TDI Engines
The overview shown represents the fuel system of
the 2.0l TDI engine.
1 - Transfer Fuel Pump G6
Builds pressure in the fuel supply line.
2 - Fuel Filter
Keeps away diesel fuel impurities from the injection
system components. The high precision components
such as the high pressure pump and the injectors,
can be damaged or their function impaired by even
the smallest particles of dirt.
3 - Fuel Temperature Sensor G81
Measures the temperature of the fuel.
4 - High Pressure Pump
Generates the high pressure required for injection.
5 - Fuel Metering Valve N290
Regulates the quantity of fuel needed with pressure.
