Keyless Access

Unlock

1. 

Make sure you have your key fob with you.

2. 

Slide hand behind door handle and wait for the door to 

unlock. Remember to avoid touching the indent on the front 

of the handle or the door will remain locked.

3. 

By touching the unlocking sensor twice in a row, the entire 

vehicle will unlock on the SEL/SEL-P model trims. The SE 

model trim only unlocks the two front doors.

4. 

PuII the handle to open door.

Lock

1. 

Make sure you have your key fob with you.

2. 

Touch your thumb to the lock depression on the handle. 

Customize which Doors to Unlock with 

Keyless Access

1. 

Turn the ignition on and place the vehicle in Park. The  

vehicle will not allow you to customize Keyless Access  

while driving.

2. 

Select CAR from the Infotainment touchscreen.

3. 

Select Settings.

4. 

Select Open and close settings.

5. 

Select Unlock doors and select which doors to lock or  

unlock with keyless entry.

 

”All doors” unlocks all doors.

 

”Single door” unlocks only the driver’s door.

 

”Vehicle side” unlocks the door(s) on the vehicle side where the key is at the moment.

Note: See Owner’s Manual for further details and important warnings about the keyless ignition feature. Do not leave vehicle unattended with the engine running, particularly in enclosed 
spaces, and consult local laws for any limitations on use.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Recalibration

The TPMS must be recalibrated each time the tire pressure in 

one or more tires has been adjusted, or after one or more tires 

has been replaced, rotated or repaired. After longer trips and 

different vehicle speeds, the system adapts to the new values 

and monitors them. 
 

To recalibrate the TPMS:

1. 

Turn the ignition ON.

2. 

Press the Menu icon, then press the CAR menu in the  

Infotainment system.

3. 

Select Settings.

4. 

Select Tires then select Set. 

5. 

Select Confirm to store.

Using the Electronic Parking Brake

Switching the Parking Brake On

When the vehicle is stationary, pull up on and hold the  

  

switch to engage the parking brake. The parking brake is 

activated when a yellow LED light illuminates on the  

  

switch and  

  appears in the instrument cluster display. The 

electronic parking brake will automatically activate if the 

vehicle is traveling under speeds of about 2 mph, or the  

driver door opens.

Turning the Parking Brake Off

• 

With the vehicle’s ignition on, press the brake pedal and 

press the  

  switch.

OR

• 

When the engine is running, press the accelerator pedal 

lightly without pressing the brake pedal. The red indicator 

light will go out when the electromechanical parking brake 

is no longer engaged.

Download the “Volkswagen Car-Net” mobile app from 

the App Store.

 

Select Login to register and create your unique  

VW ID.

 

Log in to Car-Net mobile app with your VW ID, complete 

your profile and create a PIN.

 

Add your vehicle to your Garage by entering VIN and 

follow the steps to verify ownership.

Refer to your vehicle’s warning and indicator lights for the most current diagnostic  

  information. Always consult owner’s literature for maintenance guidelines. 

Do not use feature to locate stolen vehicle.

Pairing/Remote Start (available on select trims):

 

Log in to VW Car-Net mobile app with your VW ID 

and PIN.

 

On first log-in, accept the pairing request. If you do 

not receive this request, then you can initiate it by 

going to Manage Paired Devices under the Account 

Management screen    .  

 

Accept the pairing confirmation in the vehicle’s 

display.

 

Remote start is now enabled.
