Processing and Amplification
The Proteus 18A has a signal processing and amplification chain that optimises control
of the system
Ä PROCESSING The processing chain comprises an initial section for general
signal processing, with pass-band filter, high frequency
equalisation corrector and level compressor/limiter;
the chain is completed by a specific section for each way,
with crossover pass-band filters.
It operates automatically on principles chosen to assure
the best reproduction conditions.
Ä AMPLIFICATION The amplifier deliver optimised power output for the
loudspeaker, assuring ample support for a wide dynamic
excursion and ensuring a perfectly intelligible signal.

PROTECTIONS The section is completed by a series of protective devices
that safeguard the components and protect against
temperature and electrical hazards.
