6. Pull on the tool to check whether it has slotted correctly into the chisel
holder. Check whether the hexagonal part of the tool is sitting in the
chisel holder with a positively locked connection.
7. Remove the blade protection from any Frankenklinge, cutting, or cross
blades as well as the protection for the injection tube for the duration
of your work.
Removing a tool
Follow these steps to remove a tool:
1. Put the blade protection back onto any Frankenklinge, cutting, or cross
blades as well as the protection for the injection tube.
2. Check whether the chisel holder contains oil. Top up the oil if required
(see Chapter 6).
3. If necessary, push the clamping sleeve (C), which will be covered by the
sound and dirt absorber, back until the tool is released.
4. Use your other hand to pull the tool (A) out of the chisel holder (B).
5. Return the clamping sleeve (C) to its original position.
5�2 Fixing the VAI pneumatic control to the VTS
1. Place the VAI on the floor.
2. Insert the hexagonal part of the injection unit into the chisel holder on
the VTS (see also Chapter 5.1).
3. Insert the T-handle of the VTS into the open fastening clips on the
pneumatic control and use the wing nuts on the VTS to fix the clips in
place.
4. Connect the VTS’s compressed air supply hose to the pneumatic con-
trol.
