7.2.2.1
Oil Filling
Filling Procedure:
•
Remove the vent plug, put the reservoir tank in the filling position.
•
Pour the oil through the venting hole until the oil starts to be visible through the connecting elbow of the oil level
maintainer.
•
From this point on, the oil must be filled from the reserve tank (oil level maintainer).
•
Never pour oil directly into the connection elbow of the oil level maintainer, but into the reservoir tank of the oil level
maintainer.
•
Fill the reservoir tank with oil and return it to the working position. The oil will flow down from the reservoir to the
support. Repeat the operation until the level in the reservoir no longer drops and the reservoir is partially filled. Do not
refill the tank until it is empty.
•
Replace the vent plug of the bearing body.
7.2.2.2
Oil Change
The oil should be changed after the first 200 operating hours for new bearings and then every 2000 operating hours or 3
months, depending on which comes first.
•
Before changing the oil, the pump must be started in order to fluidize the oil.
•
Loosen the upper vent plug and the lower drain plug.
•
Drain the oil from the support and let it drain.
•
Replace the lower plug and proceed with the filling as indicated in the previous section.
After some time of operation, the oil level in the reservoir should be checked. The reservoir should always contain oil,
and the oil should be replenished through the oil level maintainer.
7.3
Engine Lubrication
Motor lubrication should be carried out according to the indications given by the motor manufacturer. However, consider that
some motor manufacturers, for their standard lines, contemplate that motors of less than 50 HP do not need relubrication, since
these motors have sealed bearings, and that only motors of more than 50 HP need relubrication.
7.4
Electric Motor Drive
Each electric motor has a degree of protection that must satisfy each particular situation. In order to carry out a program of
revision and cleaning of its internal components, it is advisable to carry out voltage and amperage controls on each phase
separately.
7.5
Coupling
The correct operation of the two-shaft transmission, motor-pump, is directly related to their alignment, therefore, it is essential
to check and correct it from time to time.
