TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)

SOLUTION(S)

No video signal. Words don’t
appear on the TV  monitor.

Be sure the television is set
to the “VIDEO” mode (see your
television’s owners manual).

The television may not be
switched to the proper video
input channel.

Be sure the “VIDEO OUTPUT”
jack (See PARTS AND FUNC-
TIONS diagram)  on the rear
panel of the Bravo is connected
to the “VIDEO INPUT” section of
the TV monitor.

Not all televisions/monitors
have “RCA” connector jacks.

Unable to connect the Bravo to
my television monitor
with the “RCA” cable provided.

The Bravo has a built-in
 “RF Modulator” B jack for
those TV’s  without RCA
jacks.
  (Also see PARTS AND
FUNCTIONS, #17 and diagram
for “CONNECTING A TELEVI-
SION MONITOR “. There are
three options for connecting tele-
visions without  video input jacks.

There is a loud “squealing”
noise coming from speakers.

This noise is called “feedback”.
Feedback occurs for various
reasons. For example, feed-
back can occur if the micro-
phone is held too  closely to, or
pointed directly at, the speak-
ers . Feedback can also occur
if the microphone volume is
too high or there is too much
treble frequency being used.

Turn down the microphone
volume.

Turn down the treble control.

Hold the microphone away
from the speakers.

11

Noisy or loud playback from
tape recorded on the Bravo.

The Bravo records the bass and
treble settings exactly as you hear
them. Therefore when the
recorded audio tape is played
back  on the Bravo the bass and
treble will sound doubled.

Lower the bass and treble set-
tings when listening back to your
recorded tape on the Bravo.
Adjust the sound accordingly
until you achieve the desired
result.
