Installation and Connections

Warning
Make the correct connections.
Use only in cars with A 12 volt negative ground.
Do not allow cables to become entangled in
surrounding objects.
Be sure to disconnect the cable from the (-)
battery post before installing this unit.
Be sure to connect the color coded leads
according to the diagram.
When making connections to the vehicle’s
electrical system, be aware of the factory
installed components. Do not tap into these leads
to provide power for this unit.
This unit uses female RCA-type jacks for
connection to other units (e.g. amplifier) having
RCA connectors.
Arrange wiring and c ables in c omplianc e with the
manual to prevent obs truc tions when driving.
This will reduc e any c hanc e of damage to the unit in
c as e of a s hort-c irc uit.
Inc orrec t c onnec tions may c aus e the unit to
malfunc tion or damage to the vehic le's elec tric al
s ys tem.
Failure to do s o may res ult in damage to the unit or
vehic le. When it doubt, pleas e c ons ult your dealer.
You may need an adaptor to c onnec t other units . If
s o, pleas e c ontac t your authorized dealer for
as s is tanc e.
Never c ut away c able ins ulation to s upply power to
other equipment. Doing s o will exc eed the c urrent
c arrying c apac ity of the wire and res ult in fire or
elec tric s hoc k.
When drilling holes in the c ons ole box for
ins tallation, takes prec autions s o as not to c ontac t,
damage the elec tric al wiring. Failure to take s uc h
prec autions may res ult in fire.
S wallowing them may res ult in s erious injury.
If s wallowed, c ons ult a phys ic ian immediately.
Do not splice into electrical cables.
Do not damage the electrical wire when drilling
holes.
Keep small objects as batteries out of the
reach of small children.

before operating the unit.

Arrange the wiring so it is not crimped or
pinched by a sharp metal edge.
Drilling can cause airborne debris.

grommet to prevent the wires ins ulation from being
