Charging the Battery

To maximize performance and lifetime, we recommend that you fully charge
the battery and discharge it for at least one complete cycle before use. Using
the optional AC power adapter charges the battery while the battery is inside
the camera.  Make sure that the camera is powered off and the AC adapter is
disconnected from the camera before inserting or removing a battery.

1. Insert one end of the AC power adapter into the DC IN 5V terminal of the

camera.

2. Insert the other end of the AC power adapter into a wall outlet.

The viewfinder LED lights orange momentarily when an AC adapter is
connected to the camera and a battery is inside the camera.  The
viewfinder LED will then turn green while charging is in progress.  The
LED goes off when charging is completed.  If the LED remains orange a
charging error has occurred.
It is recommended to fully discharge the battery before recharging.
Charging time varies according to the ambient temperature and the status
of battery.
You may use the Vivicam 4000 while the battery is charging, with the AC
power adapter connected.
