Loading a SD memory card

memory, allowing you to store images and video
clips in the camera. However, you can expand
the memory capacity by using an optional SD
memory card so that you can store more im-
ages and video clips.
1. Make sure the camera is off.
2. Slide the battery/SD card cover in the direction of the OPEN arrow.
3. Insert the SD memory card.
The front side of the SD memory card (printed arrow) and the front side of
the camera should face in the same direction.
If the card cannot be inserted, check whether the direction is correct.
4. Close the battery/SD card cover.
To remove the SD memory card, make sure the camera is off. Open the
battery/SD card cover. Slightly press the SD memory card once and remove
it.
• To p re v e n t v a l u a b l e d a t a f r o m b e i n g e r a s e d
accidentally, you can switch the write protect tab at
the side of the SD memory card to “LOCK.” To save,
edit, or erase data in the SD memory card, cancel the
write protection state.
NOTE
Attaching the strap
To prevent your camera from accidental slipping
during use, always use the strap.
1. Thread one end of the camera strap through
the strap eyelet and pull the other end
through the loop until the strap is fir mly
secured.
