Copying Images to your PC
When connected to your computer in MSD mode, the
camera will behave exactly like a disk drive on your
computer. This makes copying images to your hard drive
as easy as copying files from a floppy disk to your hard
drive.
To use MSD mode, turn the Mode dial to any position
except
“Setup” and connect the camera to your PC
using the USB cable. (The Setup position is for use as a PC
Camera – as described in the PC Camera section
below.)
After connecting your camera to your computer,
double-click on “My Computer” from your PC desktop.
The contents of your computer will be displayed,
including all your disk drives. If the camera is connected,
a new disk drive will appear, representing the camera's
memory.
Double click this new drive and subsequent folders to
find the images located in the camera. Select these
image files and drag and drop them onto your
computer’s hard disk.
Note: You may wish to create a new folder on your
desktop first. Name this new folder according to the
subject of your new images. Drag and drop your
images into the folder your have recently created.
