4. Operating instructions
4.3 Before first use
1.
Unwrap the power cord (6) completely from the cable storage (8) on the bottom of
the appliance.
2.
Clean the appliance as described in chapter 5.

Guide the power cord (6) through the cable cut-out (5) in the base unit (7).
4.
Boil two to three lots of water (see chapter
4.4 Boiling water
). Dispose of the water
from these completed boil processes. It contains production particles and should not
be consumed.
4.4 Boiling water
1.
Remove the appliance from the base unit (7).
2.
Open the lid (1) by pressing the unlock button (2).
3.
Fill the water tank (10) with the desired amount of water. Follow the details given in
chapter
1.1 Technical data
.
4.
Close the lid (1) until it locks in place.
WARNING:
Never boil water with the lid open.
5.
Switch the On-/Off-switch (4) to position (
I
) to switch the appliance on. The
operation light incased in the On-/Off-switch (4) indicates that the appliance is in
use.
6.
After reaching the boiling point, the appliance automatically switches off and the
operation light extinguishes.
7.
Carefully lift the appliance off the base unit (7) by using the handle (3) and pour out
the water via the spout (11). Always keep the lid (1) closed when pouring water.
8.
Allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature prior to the next boil.
9.
If the appliance is not in use, wrap the power cord (6) around the cable storage (8)
on the bottom of the base unit (7). Do not wrap the power cord around the base unit
itself.
NOTE:
You can interrupt or stop the boiling process at any time by operating the
On-/Off-switch (4).
